The purpose of Camp JOY is to exalt the name of the Lord Jesus Christ through trained volunteers and counselors who will provide a safe environment in which the children will thrive physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Our Story....Our Children Few things are more uplifting than the sights and sounds of children at play. At Camp JOY we have been experiencing these sights and sounds for over 20 years....taking kids off the streets and out of the city into the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

Hundreds of children, ranging in age from 7-11, attend Camp JOY each summer. While at camp, they have swimming, hiking, plenty of food and snacks, crafts, boating, campfires, Bible classes and daily chapel. A Christian staff of one Camp director, 8 senior staff members and 75 teen volunteers are on hand throughout the course of the summer to provide plenty of love and attention to the kids. We seek to provide a camping experience that will encourage Christian growth and have a lasting positive impact on these children.

Camp JOY's Facilities Camp JOY is equipped with 15 cabins, a chapel, an arts and crafts room, a campfire area, a basketball court, an in-ground swimming pool and a game room. Three hiking trails surround our 4-acre lake. Boating and fishing are popular activities. Our modern kitchen and dining room will accommodate up to 300 people. Individuals, churches and groups may rent the camp facilities when Camp JOY is not in session. Catered meals are available to rental groups.

Camp JOY's Location Camp JOY is located one mile west of Hamilton, Georgia off Georgia Highway 116 in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountain range.
